Healing from within to restore balance and vitality

"You do not just wake up and become the butterfly. Growth is a process."
~ Rupi Kaus
Healing doesn’t occur overnight...
It’s a process, a journey that requires a lot of change on your part. There will be ups and downs, but over time the ups will prevail. We aim to assist you on your journey towards a sense of greater well-being. Through this process, we work together, creating a partnership in your health that allows us to take an individualized approach to your healing.
We start by taking a deep dive into your unique story in order to uncover the root cause of your symptoms. This incorporates a detailed history and laboratory testing that takes into consideration the unique exchange between genetics, environment, lifestyle, and spirituality. We then create a health plan that is perfectly suited to your individual needs.
This entire process empowers us to work together, creating a therapeutic partnership that facilitates healing by bringing the mind, body, and spirit back into balance. Working together, we guide you through the successful implementation of all aspects of your health plan, until you achieve your own expression of optimal health and vitality.
Meet Dr. Jamie Kyei-Frimpong, DNP, FNP-BC, IFMCP
As a retired competitive marathon and ultra-runner, Dr. Jamie has a deep passion for fitness. In fact, her own health journey and discovery of functional medicine began when she was no longer able to compete at the caliber that she was used to. Gut dysbiosis, adrenal issues, Lyme, mold, and environmental toxins were all holding her back. With the help of some of her mentors and her own clinical training, she has been able to regain her health and vitality.
Dr. Jamie dramatically changed her diet, learning how to navigate the strictness of her food sensitivities. She continued regular movement, but adjusted her training towards power lifting, an activity that was far less taxing on her adrenals. She also began incorporating daily mindfulness and meditation. Then she discovered energy healing and psychedelics. The emotional release of past traumas that this facilitated, was the final straw in her healing process. Although the gut-brain connection is well documented in literature, this personal experience solidified her belief that it is often an individual’s past traumas and stressors that delay or inhibit full healing.
Dr. Jamie is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She is also certified in functional medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine. After graduating from Columbia University in 2008, she continued her nursing studies at Duke University, where she earned her doctorate in 2020. Prior to founding Monarch Way, she specialized in primary care and functional medicine within an array of clinics in the heart of NYC. Most recently practicing at the renowned Parsley Health. Upon her move to Colorado and following her immersion into Peruvian plant medicine, she began training in energy healing and is a certified Reiki Master.
Just as she has done for herself, Dr. Jamie is committed to assisting patients in discovering the root cause of their illness. Her mission is to assist her patients to not merely live life but to thrive. She has developed a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection and works together with patients to personalize their care, implementing changes that allow them to function at their highest potential.
