Wellness is Within:
Where Science Meets Soul

My Healing Journey
I’ll never forget the moment my body said, “Enough.” Exhaustion didn’t just slow me down. It shook me awake.
During one of my long training runs, everything unraveled at once. My calves seized with excruciating cramps, as if they were being ripped apart with every step. My heart pounded wildly, reaching its max even at the slowest pace, and my stomach refused to cooperate. Yesterday’s dinner churned back up, undigested.
As a former competitive marathon and ultrarunner, I had spent years pushing my body beyond its limits, trusting that discipline and clean eating would carry me through. But no amount of training or willpower could override what my body was desperately trying to tell me. It was shutting down.
Doctors dismissed my symptoms. They told me everything looked “normal.” But I knew better. Instead of accepting band-aid fixes, I started digging deeper. What I found changed everything—the powerful interplay between digestion, hormones, nervous system health, and the mind-body connection. Traditional medicine often overlooks these key elements, but they held the answers I had been searching for.
Through functional medicine, I took back control of my health. I balanced my hormones, restored my gut, and rebuilt my strength. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. I transitioned from endurance training to powerlifting, learning how to build strength in a way that supported my recovery, instead of draining it. This shift changed how I understood resilience, not just in the body, but in the entire healing process.
Along the way, I began exploring deeper layers of healing: energy work, mindfulness, plant medicine, and the role of unresolved stress and trauma. These experiences didn’t replace science. They revealed what it often leaves out. Healing isn’t just physical. It’s mental, emotional, and even spiritual.
That journey didn’t just restore my health. It led me to my true calling: helping others do the same and healing from the inside out.
